Zyg studied at London’s Harrow Art School before embarking on a forty-year career in Design: Printing/Retail Photography/Interior Design and Model Making. His 3D model-making career allowed him to work on blockbuster films, classic TV, Architecture, Theatre and Product Design.
He revived his passion for making art after moving to Brighton in 1999 and began successfully exhibiting and creating commissions for various art lovers, including Jimmy Carr, Damien Hirst and Professional Footballers.
Zyg’s works are inspired by Toys; however, they are juxtaposed to appear lifelike rather than miniature. Modern printing techniques on aluminium plates allow 4cm modified figures to appear 10 times their size.
Zyg’s toy creations are repurposed and sourced from charity shops, eBay and donations.
Born and raised in London to Polish parents and a child of the Sixties. Zyg’s art reflects his upbringing and professional experiences: Classic, Nostalgic and Culturally Iconic. Enjoy!
