Sophie grew up in and around art in Devon where her parents run an art gallery. Her love of colour, form and creativity was further developed whilst travelling extensively to places rich in culture and history such as Europe, Morocco, Indonesia, and Australia. Now living back in the rolling green hills of Devon, Sophie enjoys capturing her travels in beautiful cut glass, as well as drawing inspiration from her local seaside surrounds.
Having studied glass and sculpture Sophie has developed her skills in her own workshop at home in the South Hams and enjoys experimenting with different temperatures in the kiln to find just the right way to capture light and texture. Her favourite pieces are the ones that make you want to reach out and touch them.
