Alejandro Martinez is a trained architect by the Universidad de Sevilla, born in Granada, Spain in 1973. In August 1999, he moved to London where he worked for Rick Mather’s Architects and MSMR architects. In 2011 he moved to Brighton, where he currently works for archangels ARCHITECTS.
He is a member of Studio Green House Art Cooperative, finding the environment perfect for his intricate line drawings, finding encouragement and the correct attitude to arts to tackle larger and more complex pieces.
Every year Alejandro plans his upcoming artistic projects, working from his own photographs taken on long walks in town, along the coast and the Sussex countryside. His work is inspired by artists such as Samuel Palmer, William Blake, John Piper, Eric Ravilous, John Minton, Paul Nash, and David Hockney. His work can be found in private collections worldwide.
